Things people ask

Do they need an app?

No. They point their phone camera at the code and the story plays in the browser. No download, no account, no password.

Which languages can the story be in?

Tell us the language they are most comfortable in, including the dialect. If we can’t do it well, we tell you before anything prints.

Whose voice do they hear?

Your child’s words become a short story, read aloud in their grandparent’s language. The words and the meaning are your child’s.

What if they don’t have a smartphone?

Anyone nearby with a phone can scan it and play the story for them. The gift works on its own too: the drawing is right there.

What happens to my child’s drawing and voice note?

We use them only to make your gift. We never sell them, and we never share your child’s voice or name. Originals are deleted 30 days after delivery, and the story stays online for at least one year. Read our privacy policy.

Who can hear the story?

Anyone with the gift. Each story has its own private link that can’t be guessed and doesn’t show your child’s full name. Ask us any time and we take it down.
