This creative thinking workshop gives kids aged 6-12 a new design challenge every week. Most kids are taught to find the right answer. This workshop teaches them to find a better question. Every session is a new design challenge. Kids draw, question, and invent their own solutions. The first ideas are the obvious ones. We push past those. No right answers. No wrong drawings. Just original thinking.
What happens in a session
Kids walk in with a fresh challenge and walk out with something they invented themselves. One student designed a machine to solve a problem he noticed at home. Another reimagined how her school hallway could work better.
Every session is different. No two are the same.
Who is this for
Kids aged 6-12 who like to draw, build, and ask questions. No art experience needed. This is not a drawing class. It is a thinking class that uses drawing as the tool. Kids who are quiet find their voice. Kids who are loud find focus. Every child brings something different to the table.
Why creative thinking matters
Schools reward the right answer. But the problems kids will face as adults do not have answer keys. They will need to notice what is missing, imagine what could exist, and build something that has never been built. Creative thinking is not a talent. It is a skill. And like any skill, it gets stronger with practice. This creative thinking workshop is where that practice happens, every week, in a room with other kids who think differently.
What parents say
Parents tell us their kids start noticing problems everywhere after a few sessions. At the dinner table, on the way to school, in the grocery store. They stop waiting to be told what to do and start asking “what if?” That shift from passive to curious is what this workshop is really about.
